Dylan Bradshaw, owner of multi-award winning Dylan Bradshaw Salon, Academy and Blowdry Bar, Dublin reveals how to keep your fringe looking fabulous this season:
The Veil Fringe
· The full fringe has been in fashion for a few years now, but if you want to rework your current style into a softer, more casual look, simply part your hair in the centre and grow out the full fringe until it is reaches the cheekbones. This look will instantly open your face to leave you with an easy to wear fringe that is bang on trend for this season.
Top Fringe Tips
· To keep your fringe looking fabulous, make sure you use as little product as possible to avoid it becoming oily too quickly. However, if you do find that it’s still getting oily very quickly, then try washing just the fringe in-between washing your hair to keep it looking fresh. Another top tip is to stop blowdrying your fringe when it still feels slightly damp and let nature do the rest as over drying it can cause your fringe to become flyaway, especially if you’ve got fine hair.
Blowdry Perfection
· The best way to blowdry a fringe is to bring everything full and forward. If you find you have a cow lick in your fringe then pull the hair in the opposite direction to the way that it wants to go. Also, make sure you have a firm hold on your brush and blow dry your fringe with a good amount of tension as this will help to iron out any kinks and leave your fringe looking super smooth and sleek.
Trim to Maintain
· Fringes need regular trims to keep them looking healthy and stop them getting in your eyes, Dylan recommends that you get a trim every three weeks. Never be tempted to reach for the scissors at home and trim it yourself, instead always ensure that you pop into your salon to see your stylist, who would be more than happy to give your fringe a quick trim to keep it looking in tip-top shape.
