I have 3 colours in my hair, the first are bleached highlights, the 2nd are a caramel highlight and the 3rd a dark brown, although it looks quite cool it's pretty expensive for the upkeep, this was all put into plain highlighted hair. I've got greys coming through my naturally dark ash blonde roots and i was thinking of going completely dark brown. I know the greys will still show through when it grows but it will be cheaper in the long run and not take half as long to cover up.. I just wanted to ask if it is possible to do it at home or do i need to go to a hairdresser? I'm used to outrageous colour schemes but i draw the line at orange and green

Wow, lots to think about there! If I was you i would go to the hairdressers the first time to get it all sorted and then you should be able to just use home kits. My mum uses home kits and they're fine – soooo much cheaper too! x
