Lisa Shepherd's holiday hair tips

Summer is upon us and I don’t know if you are like me, but I always leave everything to the last minute! Here are my top tips to prep your hair in super-quick time for your holiday and look fabulous!

Get Sun-kissed BEFORE your holiday!
Some people suggest you DON’T colour your hair before your holiday – but I don’t agree! After all you want your hair to look its best. However, what I advise is that you have the MINIMUM done that you can get away with. We do a “Top-up Lights” service that concentrates on the key areas – parting, hairline and crown to give you the effect of having a full set of lights – but without the time or expense!

Roots on the Run!
There is no longer any need to sit in the colourist chair for hours! At Lisa Shepherd we have introduced a brand new permanent colour from Clynol that develops in just 10 minutes meaning that you now you can have colour, cut and blow dry in under an hour – Available in all our salons including the new London salon at 24 Mortimer Street.

Pile on the Protection!
Don’t forget that the better you protect your hair from the sun, sea and chlorine the better your hair colour will last and the better condition your hair will stay. So invest in an excellent range like Clynol Care sun.

Top Summer Style!
Give your hair a holiday too and ditch your blow dryer and straighteners and opt for a beachy boho wave. Try a Salt Spray for that “just stepped out of the sea look” These give your hair texture and ‘bulk up’ fine hair to give a really sexy movement.

Accessorise, Accessorise, Accessorise!
Invest in some fab hair accessories that will become your saviour whilst on holiday! There’s no better protection against fading hair colour than a trendy scarf tied around your head. Plus if you’re going away for a while, chunky headbands are a great way to cover up growing our roots!

Happy Holidays!
